Man Killed in Woodland Hills Hit-and-Run Crash
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2022) – A 44-year-old driver was arrested after a Woodland Hills hit-and-run pedestrian accident Sunday on Ventura Boulevard at Ponce Avenue.
A 35-year-old man died in the hit-and-run crash about 6:03 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6th, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.
Police were able to locate and arrest a suspect following the deadly crash, but have not released his name.
Investigators say the victim was walking outside of the crosswalk at the time of the crash. Paramedics and police responded, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers located the address of the registered owner of the involved vehicle. They subsequently arrested a 44-year-old man and took him into custody, but it’s unknown what the charges are at this point.
Also, investigators are determining if the suspect was the registered owner of the vehicle.
The fatal Woodland Hills hit-and-run crash remains under investigation.
