CORNING, California (August 29, 2014) — A driver crashed into a motorhome towing a small boat Friday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 5 Tehama Valley Freeway, just south of the Corning Road off ramp, about 19 miles from Red Bluff, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 11:49 a.m., CHP officers responded to the crash involving the driver of a silver Ford Fusion who struck a 15-foot-boat on a trailer being hauled by a recreational vehicle. The impact caused the boat to detach and hit the center divider. The front of the Ford Fusion suffered major damage and was facing the wrong way.
Paramedics responded to assist at least one injured person.
Police are heading up an investigation into this crash to determine liability.
