Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Collision at Mineral King and Mooney
Visalia, CA (April 17, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a possible DUI-related crash in the area of Mineral King Avenue and Mooney Boulevard.
DUI Suspect Hits Pedestrian in Visalia
The KMPH News published an article online reporting an accident between a person and a vehicle. The incident occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection in Visalia. Officials mentioned the collision took place around 7 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the victim with moderate to major injuries. Paramedics decided to transfer the patient to an area hospital for treatment and further evaluation. Pending confirmation, the name of the injured pedestrian remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed the motorist involved in the crash fled the scene. Investigators believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the accident at Mineral King Avenue and Mooney Boulevard.
