At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Huntington Drive
Duarte, CA (May 17, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Tuesday on Huntington Drive resulted in injuries, according to KTLA and ABC7 News.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided near the 2700 block of Huntington Drive in Duarte. Earlier reports indicated a red Prius veered into the opposite lane and drove wrong way before crashing head-on into an Audi SUV. The force from the impact caused at least one car to plow into a building near Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital.
Shortly after 9:12 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found one person trapped in the mangled vehicle. Firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. After the man was freed, paramedics transported them to the local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No immediate information was available on the other parties involved in the collision.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the accident on Huntington Drive in Duarte.
