ALAMEDA COUNTY, California (April 27, 2016) — At least one person was killed Wednesday morning in a fiery collision involving a big rig truck and up to four vehicles on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway at the Hacienda Drive on ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 5:55 a.m. this morning. Two or three of the vehicles were engulfed in flames and at least one person was trapped in a car.
The vehicles involved included the truck and a Toyota Prius. Paramedics and the Alameda County Sheriff Coroner was sent to the scene to help those involved who were hurt or died at the scene.
Police issued a SigAlert and cleanup is underway.
