In this case, the driver of the Toyota is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol which is considered as a serious crime throughout the state. DUI has corresponding criminal penalties, and the kinds of the charges to be filed depend on factors including the prior convictions, if there are any, of the alleged DUI driver, the severity of the offense, the level of intoxication and the injuries caused to another individual.
Once the investigation process is over and it proves that the motorist has been negligent and caused the collision that injured the innocent women involved, the three female occupants of the Lexus will have then the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault party.
