Woman, 35, Seriously Injured in Car Accident on Miramar Road Friday
SAN DIEGO (April 12, 2019) – A motorist was seriously injured after an alleged DUI crash on Miramar Road Friday afternoon in the Miramar neighborhood.
The accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near the Miramar Village Shopping Center, between Camino Santa Fe and Carroll Road.
Police said a Nissan Sentra was traveling west on Miramar Road when it spun out of control, swerved to the right and hit a Nissan Maxima. The Maxima was then forced backwards into a Honda Civic.

According to reports by San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX 5, paramedics responded to the scene and found the 35-year-old woman driving the Maxima suffering from an open-wound ankle fracture as a result of the collision.
The name and condition of the patient at this time were not disclosed. The 22-year-old man operating the Civic and his passenger were unharmed upon impact.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Sentra complained of pain and was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred.
The suspect, an unidentified 29-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. She was expected to be booked into jail.
