MODESTO, California (July 1, 2016) – Injuries have been reported as a result of an alleged DUI rollover crash Claus Road and Yosemite Boulevard, according to an article by Modesto Bee.
The accident took place on the night of June 29.
In detail, the article mentioned a white Jeep full of teenage girls has been driven by a 19-year-old Margarita Hedlin. Hedlin ran a stop sign and hit a Mazda minivan on Creekwood Drive. Then, Hedlin evaded the scene and sped off to Claus Road. There, Hedlin tried to get into the parking lot of the shopping center at Claus and Yosemite Boulevard.
For reason still under investigation, the Jeep overturned on the roadway. The force from the impact resulted in injuries to the at least two passengers aged 17-years-old. Both were provided treatment for sustained minor injuries.
Hedlin has been also treated for sustained wounds. Then, she was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and child endangerment of her friends.
