As per the article, a collision involving four vehicles occurred on the highway near Embarcadero at about 3:30 a.m. of November 13, Sunday.
The Palo Alto Fire Department and CHP Redwood City responded to the scene and located two parties suffering in injuries that needed hospital care. Both were transported along with two more patients from a separate accident that was not further discussed.
Officials affirmed two people were taken into custody for suspicion of DUI, and a loaded firearm was recovered from one of the vehicles.
Further investigation is underway.
