2 Girls Injured After DUI Driver Crashed Into Lancaster House on 27th Street East
LANCASTER, CA (August 23, 2021) – Two girls were injured after a DUI driver crashed into a house on 27th Street East in Lancaster.
According to The Antelope Valley Times and My News LA, the accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the wreck at about 1 a.m.
The incident began when a 2011 Nissan Altima was going north on 27th Street East in Lancaster. The car then spun out of control at Weingart.
Deputies said the Nissan then plowed into the bedroom of a house on the northeast corner. The residence is located in the 44700 block of the road.
Car Plows Into Home
The Altima struck a 16-year-old girl and her 7-year-old sister sleeping in their bedroom at the time. Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the older victim to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Medical personnel treated the younger juvenile for the cuts on her face. Officials did not disclose the condition of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the Nissan ended up hospitalized for treatment of ankle pain. Deputies soon placed her under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of 27th Street East to close following the wreck. The Lancaster DUI crash is still under investigation.
