Bobby Thomas Arrested After Deadly Pedestrian Accident in South Sacramento
Sacramento, CA (November 22, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries following a suspected DUI collision that occurred in the area of 29th Street and Gardendale Road.
According to FOX40 News, 60-year-old was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in the streets of South Sacramento Monday evening. When the driver entered the intersection of 29th and Gardendale, he reportedly struck a pedestrian. The horrible crash took place at approximately 10 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the location and found the pedestrian suffering in serious injuries. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and later passed away. The authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Fatal DUI Crash at 29th Street and Gardendale Road
Meanwhile, police reportedly located Thomas at a nearby residence. During the investigation process, officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the collision. Given that, Bobby Thomas was arrested and booked on charges related to DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident in Sacramento.
