DUI Suspect Arrested in San Jose for Fatal Crash on Tully Road
SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 11, 2025) — A suspected DUI driver was arrested early Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a tree and killed a woman passenger on Tully Road in San Jose.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the solo crash happened around 1:50 a.m. on June 10th in the 800 block of Tully Road.
The adult male suspect was driving a blue 2015 Toyota sedan with two women riding as passengers. The car was heading eastbound on Tully and veered off the roadway near Galveston Avenue before it crashed into a tree, police said.
One Dead, Two Injured in Solo Collision
Both female passengers were transported to a local hospital where one woman died, however, the second woman had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, the unidentified man driving the vehicle was treated for undisclosed injuries at the scene. Police arrested him on felony vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence charges.
The fatality marks San Jose’s 12th traffic death of 2025.
