2-Vehicle Crash on Evan Hewes Hwy
EL CENTRO, Calif. (June 16, 2023) — A two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck happened Friday morning at West Evan Hewes Highway, just west of Austin Road in El Centro.
The collision occurred around 10:52 a.m. on June 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a Dodge Challenger became trapped in their vehicle after the two-vehicle crash on Evan Hewes Highway.
Paramedics responded with an ambulance to transport at least one person to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries from the collision.
Meanwhile, a flatbed tow truck removed the damaged Dodge from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the El Centro crash.
