BARSTOW, California (October 17, 2016) — Dupree Steel, 39, and Ramund Woods, 35, both residents of Barstow, suffered fatal injuries late Sunday night in a collision with a train on the railroad tracks at Yucca Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Department.
The crash took place about 11:20 p.m. last night. The Barstow Police Department stated that a Nissan Pathfinder driven by one of the two men went off the roadway and fell onto the train tracks where it was struck by an oncoming train.
The two men died at the scene of the collision. Police are investigating what led to the crash and liability.
