Teenage Boy Injured in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2019) —Dylan Duthridge, 17, was injured when he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning at Norris Road and Arvin Street in Oildale.
The crash took place at 7:02 a.m. at the intersection, about a block away from North High School, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was blocking Norris Road in both directions and it appears that two more vehicles may have also been involved. The boy who was hit by at least one of the cars and suffered undisclosed injuries. Police were discussing sending him by ambulance to Kern County Medical Center for treatment, but it’s unknown if he was taken there or treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by police to determine fault.
