Cyclist Killed in Collision on Los Berros Road
Nipomo, CA (May 15, 2022) – Police arrested 41-year-old Dylan Lammers in relation with a deadly bicycle accident that occurred on Los Berros Road.
According to Santa Maria Times, Lammers was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling south on Los Berros Road. Earlier reports indicated the motorist struck the rear of a man riding a bicycle in the area near El Campo Road. The force from the impact propelled the cyclist onto the right shoulder of the roadway.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 11:30 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim found lying on the ground. Sadly, the cyclist succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested in Nipomo Deadly Bicycle Accident
The article published online mentioned Lammers fled the scene after the collision. The California Highway Patrol officers later identified the located the hit-and-run suspect. Subsequently, police arrested Dylan Lammers and booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail shortly.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
