Earnest Walker Sr., Killed in Bicycle Accident on Jensen Avenue, Highway 41

FRESNO, Calif. (April 29, 2025) — Earnest Walker Sr., 47, of Fresno, died when he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle Saturday night on Jensen Avenue, near Highway 41 on ramp in Fresno.

Police responded to the traffic collision just after 11 p.m. on April 26th, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

The bicyclist was found down in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the victim as Earnest Walker Sr.

Meanwhile, the vehicle involved was located at Jensen and Cherry avenues.

Detectives say the driver cooperated with the investigation and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The report did not mention if this was a hit-and-run or if the driver just pulled over ahead of the crash scene.

The investigation into the bicycle accident on Jensen Avenue is ongoing.
