Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run at Miller and Flower Streets
EAST BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 12, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Miller Street and Flower Street in East Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Thursday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 8:35 p.m.
The incident happened on November 11 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Miller Street and Flower Street in East Bakersfield.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Haley Street. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the minor injuries they sustained in the accident. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled westbound on Flower. A witness described the car as a white 4-door Chevrolet.
Officers forced the intersection of Miller and Flower streets to close following the collision. The cause of the East Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
