Motorcyclist Killed in East Hollywood Crash Near Virgil and Santa Monica
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 9, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist near Virgil Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5 p.m.
Los Angeles police said the motorcyclist and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the East Hollywood neighborhood.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
The two crashed near the intersection of Virgil Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. The rider ended up ejected from their bike onto the roadway due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. They soon pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the other driver sustained injuries or if they stopped following the incident.
Officers forced the area of Heacock and Ironwood to shut down for a time after the wreck. The cause of the fatal East Hollywood crash is still under investigation.
