1 Seriously Injured in East Los Angeles Crash at Olympic and Eastern
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (March 11, 2022) – A crash seriously injured at least one person at Olympic Boulevard and Eastern Avenue in East Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place early Friday. Officers reported the accident at about 12:50 a.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in East Los Angeles. They crashed at the intersection of East Olympic Boulevard and South Eastern Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the McDonald’s restaurant and found a car on fire. They extricated two trapped people from the burning wreckage.
Medical personnel confirmed that one rescued individual sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the corner of Olympic and Eastern to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the East Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
