1 Killed, 3 Injured in East Los Angeles Crash at Union Pacific and Atlantic
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (August 22, 2o21) – A crash killed one person and injured several others at Union Pacific Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard in East Los Angeles.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 8 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in East Los Angeles. They crashed at the intersection of Union Pacific Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard.
Multiple Cars Collide
A CHP dispatch described the cars involved as a white Honda, a black sedan and a black colored pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found a total of five patients who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed three victims to a hospital, where one of them later died.
Officers added that the other two parties declined further aid. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Union Pacific and Atlantic to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal East Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
