1 Injured in East Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at Ford Boulevard and 1st Street
EAST LOS ANGELES (June 1, 2020) – An alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Ford Boulevard and 1st Street injured at least one person on Monday.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident shortly before 6 p.m. It happened near the 710 Freeway and the 60 Freeway.
According to their report log, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason at the intersection of South Ford Boulevard and East 1st Street.
The dispatch described the three cars involved as a gray Honda 4-door sedan, a silver colored BMW and a purple Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Multi-Car Accident at Ford Boulevard and 1st Street Monday
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided treatment to one individual who suffered unspecified injuries upon impact.
The name and condition of the wounded victim at this time were not disclosed. CHP did not mention if the patient was taken to the hospital for further aid.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Chrysler took off following the wreck. Officers affirmed that the suspect was located at a residence near Michigan and Dangler avenues.
The collision caused several traffic lanes to temporarily close. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
