Pedestrian Seriously Injured in East Los Angeles Crash at Cesar E Chavez and Rowan
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (November 28, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a pedestrian at Cesar E Chavez and Rowan avenues in East Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 6:24 p.m.
CHP determined that a red Chevrolet Cruze struck the pedestrian in East Los Angeles. For an unknown reason, the car hit the person at the intersection of Cesar E Chavez and Rowan avenues.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Evergreen Cemetery. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Chevrolet stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. The cause of the East Los Angeles pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Cesar E Chavez and Rowan to shut down following the collision.
