Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle at Bayshore Road at Oakwood Drive
East Palo Alto, CA (April 25, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Monday morning in the area of Bayshore Road at Oakwood Drive.
UPDATED: Pedestrian killed in East Palo Alto crash is identified
According to CBS News, a vehicle struck a man pushing a cart in the streets of East Palo Alto. Earlier reports indicated the pedestrian was walking in the southbound side of East Bayshore Road. For reasons still unclear, an oncoming vehicle struck the man in the area near Oakwood Drive.
The horrible crash took place at about 5:09 a.m., officials said.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in East Palo Alto
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the scene.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly accident Bayshore Road at Oakwood Drive.
