EASTVALE, California (April 25, 2014) — A male bicyclist was killed early Friday morning at the intersection of Limonite and Hammer avenues, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
About 12:12 a.m., police say the bicyclist had the right-of-way when he was crossing the street in the crosswalk at the intersection when a driver in a 4-door sedan heading westbound on Limonite struck him.
Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to Kaiser Ontario Medical Center where he later died of his injuries at 1:50 a.m., the report said.
Eastvale Police Department is investigating the crash to determine what exactly happened and find the driver.
“My prayers go out to the family of this man as they cope with his sudden and tragic loss,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Hopefully police find the driver soon.”
