Pedestrian, 16, Injured in Eastvale Hit-and-Run at Schleisman and Sumner
EASTVALE, CA (September 3, 2021) – A teen pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Schleisman Road and Sumner Avenue in Eastvale.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department received a call about the accident on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 3:38 p.m.
Deputies said a 16-year-old pedestrian entered the intersection of Schleisman Road and Sumner Avenue in Eastvale. At the same time, a vehicle began to make a right turn.
In the process, the driver struck the juvenile in the crosswalk. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Teen Hit by Car
Medical personnel soon treated the teen for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the condition of the wounded party at this time.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian. The suspect fled southbound on Sumner from Schleisman.
The press release described the driver as a white adult male, with gray hair. They classified the car as a light colored 4-door SUV.
