Passenger Killed in Euclid Avenue Crash in Chino
CHINO, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2018) — Edgar Dominguez, 20, of Rialto, died in a solo crash on Euclid Avenue early Wednesday morning, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision was reported about 4:57 a.m. Police say the driver of a white 2000 GMC Sierra was heading south on Euclid Avenue. At some point, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. Dominguez was a passenger in the vehicle. Paramedics responded and transported both the driver and passenger to a local hospital, but Dominguez died of his injuries at 6:41 a.m. the same day.
The Chino Police Department is heading up the investigation into this tragedy.
Chino Accident Investigation
A full investigation into what caused this collision is underway. It’s unknown what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. There are certainly many unanswered questions such as whether or not a mechanical problem, a dangerous road condition or driver error caused this accident. Police will also look into whether speed or alcohol were factors.
