Edgar Ramirez Killed, Isaac Sauceda Injured on 5 Freeway in Tustin Crash
Another 22-Year-Old Unidentified Man Dead in Solo Rollover Collision
TUSTIN, California (May 5, 2016) — Jacob Patterson, 22, of Fullerton and 21-year-old Santa Ana resident Edgar Garfias Ramirez, were both killed in a rollover crash on 5 Freeway that also injured 19-year-old Isaac Sauceda, as per The Orange County Register.
The fatal crash took place about 12 a.m. Thursday on northbound 55 Freeway transition to the southbound Intestate 5.
Ramirez and Patterson were passengers in the vehicle. Sauceda, of Santa Ana, was driving the maroon 2008 Scion TC when for some unknown reason he swerved off the road.
The Scion then struck a raised asphalt curb and became airborne, landing onto its roof into a dirt and ice plant area.
According to the article, California Highway Patrol said all three occupants were extricated from the car. Ramirez and Patterson died at the scene while Sauceda was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana where he was listed n moderate condition with a head injury.
Police are investigating the crash and will determine what led to the accident.
