Homeless Man Struck Near Harbor Gateway Intersection
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2024) – A 64-year-old homeless man, Eduardo Espinoza Quintero, died in a pedestrian accident Sunday night while walking along Rosecrans Avenue in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles.
The deadly, crash occurred at 9:29 p.m. on Sept. 29th near Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man had been walking westbound on Rosecrans Avenue at the time he was hit from behind by a westbound vehicle, police said.
Paramedics rushed Eduardo Espinoza Quintero to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries at the hospital, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner identified him.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with police.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
