DUI Driver Eduardo Preciado, 25, Kills Passenger in Milpitas Crash
MILPITAS, CA (May 18, 2021) – Authorities detained Eduardo Preciado after a fatal DUI crash on the Interstate Highway 680 in Milpitas.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 25-year-old Fremont man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred last week.
The incident happened on Wednesday when Eduardo Preciado was driving a 2012 Infiniti north on the Interstate Highway 680 in Milpitas.
Woman, 52, Killed in Interstate Highway 680 Crash
CHP said he then slammed into sand barrels and a concrete sound wall on the highway. The Infiniti came to a complete stop in the center median, south of Jacklin Road.
The female passenger ended up ejected from the car as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the 52-year-old Phoenix woman dead at the scene.
Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CBS San Francisco wrote that the accident took place on May 12 at about 12:28 a.m.
Meanwhile, CHP soon arrested Eduardo Preciado on suspicion of DUI. The Milpitas DUI crash is still under investigation.
