
2-Vehicle Car Accident at Randolph Place, Maywood Avenue
HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2023) – Eduardo Rojas, 29, and his mother, Bertha Rojas, 51, were killed in a Huntington Park crash Friday night at Randolph Place and Maywood Avenue in Huntington Park.
Three other people were taken to a hospital with minor to major injuries.
The two victims who died and the two seriously injured were all members of the same family traveling together in a car when it was hit by a white SUV. The white SUV caught on fire after the collision, ABC 7 News reports.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the intersection at around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1st, according to a report by NBC 4 News.
The young man and his mother both died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the man’s brother Kevin Rojas and his father, Cuco Rojas, were critically injured. Both were taken to a hospital, along with the driver from the SUV who had minor injuries.
The officials cause of the crash is unknown. However, the driver in the SUV is under investigation to determine if he or she drove through a red light before hitting the car. Also, authorities believe the motorist was possibly impaired. Police arrested the suspect after the crash, but there are no further details.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
