Angel Gabriel Gongora Mis Arrested for Hit-and-Run
Half Moon Bay- Edward Wade, 44, has been identified as the victim fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning on Highway 1.
Per the San Jose Mercury News, Edward Wade was on his Trek bicycle traveling northbound on Highway 1 before being struck by an SUV at precisely 7:05 a.m.
The driver of the SUV, Angel Gabriel Gongora Mis, 29, proceeded to flee the scene but was later found and detained after police officials were able to follow a path of scattered debris from both the bicycle and the vehicle. He was arrested at his home close to where the incident took place.
Meanwhile, Edward Wade was tragically pronounced at the scene due to serious trauma injuries.
California Highway Patrol officials plan to charge the 29-year-old Half Moon Bay man with hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
