Major Motorcycle Crash Naylor Avenue and Buena Vista Street in Taft
Taft, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2020) — Edward Price, 67, of Taft, was critically injured Tuesday in a motorcycle versus car accident at Naylor Avenue and Buena Vista Street in Taft.
The collision was reported at 1:36 p.m. on Dec. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Price was riding a Honda Rebel motorcycle south of Naylor Avenue when he collided with a westbound black Honda sedan at the intersection with Buena Vista Street.
Edward Price Transported to Hospital
Paramedics responded to the crash scene and located the injured rider on the ground. Price was not moving upon the arrival of medical personnel to the intersection. He was rushed by ambulance to Kern Medical where he is being treated for major injuries.
Dylan Leiter, 22, of Taft, who was riding the Honda stopped and cooperated with authorities. Both Leiter and his passenger, Tiffany Fuentes, 23, were treated for minor injuries.
Later, both vehicles were towed from the crash site.
Meanwhile, an investigation into the collision is underway to determine fault. Witnesses are urged to contact authorities.
