5 injured in Canoga Park Car Accident on Owensmouth Avenue
LOS ANGELES (October 9, 2018) – The driver who caused a traffic collision along Owensmouth Avenue that injured several people in Canoga Park Tuesday morning has been arrested, according to The Daily News.
The suspect, 23-year-old Edwin Velez, was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the collision took place.
As per the article, Los Angeles police said Velez was driving one of the three cars involved which crashed in the 8000 block of North Owensmouth Avenue just before 8 a.m.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a total of five parties who were hurt as a result of the accident.
One victim was extricated from one of the vehicles involved. The patients were reportedly transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, Velez was booked on suspicion of a felony charge of driving under the influence.
