EL CAJON, Calif. (May 31, 2018) – Three vehicles collided Wednesday night leaving five people injured at the intersection of Greenfield Drive and East Main Street, according to San Diego News 10.
The crash took place just before 11 p.m. last night. The driver of a pickup truck reportedly rear-ended a red car that was stopped at a red light facing eastbound on Main Street. The impact pushed the red car into the intersection where it was struck by a driver in a white SUV.
During the collision, the pickup truck went airborne and landed on its roof. At least one person was ejected from one of the vehicles in the crash. One passenger in the red car was trapped and was extricated by arriving firefighters.
Three people were hospitalized including the pickup truck driver, the SUV driver and three people who were in the red car.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it appears that the pickup truck driver is responsible.
