Pedestrian Critically Injured in San Diego Car Accident on El Cajon Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2018) — A 67-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday morning when she was hit by a car as she crossed El Cajon Boulevard.
The woman was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk in a southbound direction in the El Cerrito neighborhood, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The accident took place near El Cerrito Drive around 6:15 a.m., San Diego police said.
The 47-year-old man driving the 2006 Honda Civic that struck the woman, stopped and remained at the scene after the collision.
Paramedics transported the injured woman to the hospital for treatment of several facial fractures and other major injuries.

Police are reviewing the facts of this case to determine fault.
