At Least 2 Injured in El Cajon Crash on 8 Freeway
EL CAJON (June 8, 2018) – A traffic collision along the Interstate 8 Freeway caused multiple injuries on Friday afternoon, according to NBC San Diego.
The accident took place at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the North Second Street exit.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason five vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the 8 Freeway. One of the cars involved, described by officials as an SUV, rolled over in the middle lane of the freeway upon impact.

Paramedics were requested to the scene to attend to the occupants of the overturned SUV who were injured as a result of the collision. The total number of the wounded parties remained unknown, but CHP affirmed they suffered minor injuries.
It was not specified in the report if the patients were hospitalized or treated at the crash site. Meanwhile, a SigAlert was issued following the wreck but was listed half an hour later.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
