Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Avocado Boulevard Near Nabal Drive
EL CAJON (August 4, 2018) – A man riding a Masi Gran Corsa road bike was killed in a traffic collision on Avocado Boulevard Saturday morning, according to East County Magazine.
Primary reports indicated a man was riding a Masi Gran Corsa road bike in the southbound bicycle lane on Avocado around 8 a.m. For unknown reasons, the cyclist made a left turn near Nabal Drive and was struck by a passing Toyota Camry.
Deadly Car VS Bicycle Accident Saturday in El Cajon
Shortly after the crash, emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist ejected onto the roadway. Paramedics sadly pronounced the man dead at the location.
Meanwhile, authorities briefly identified the Camry driver as a 63-year-old woman. The condition of that driver, and her whereabouts following the incident were not immediately discussed.
At this time, further investigation on the deadly accident is ongoing.
