Child Hospitalized After Collision at Jamacha and Penasco Road Sunday
El Cajon, CA (October 11, 2021) – A juvenile suffered injuries following a hit-and-run car crash that occurred in the area of Jamacha and Penasco Road.
According to On Scene TV, a red Chevrolet Silverado struck a white Range Rover at the El Cajon intersection on October 10, Sunday.

The article published online indicated the man behind the wheel of the Chevrolet continued driving after the accident.
Officials said the Chevrolet hit another car, a black Lexus SUV, at the intersection of Hidden Mesa Road and Jamacha Road.
Shortly after the collision, emergency crews arrived at the site. First responders found a small child riding in the black Lexus SUV. Authorities said the juvenile sustained injuries, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers reportedly performed a breathalyzer test to the driver of the Silverado. The man showed he was over the legal alcohol limit. As a result, police arrested the suspect without incident.
Further investigation on the hit-and-run crash in El Cajon is ongoing.
