Motorcyclist Injured in El Cajon Crash on Olde Highway 80 Near Carta Lane

EL CAJON, CA (November 16, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash on Olde Highway 80 in El Cajon.

The motorcycle rider and a gray Honda sedan collided for an unknown reason in El Cajon on Sunday afternoon. The two crashed 15518 Olde Highway 80 near Carta Lane.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on November 14. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:46 p.m.

Motorcycle and Car Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced a stretch of Olde Highway 80 to shut down after the collision.

The cause of the El Cajon crash is still under investigation.
