Woman Critically Injured in El Cajon Hit-and-Run Crash on Broadway Avenue
EL CAJON (June 16, 2019) – A pedestrian was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Broadway Avenue early Sunday.
According to reports by San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX 5 News, the collision was reported at about 1:05 a.m. near Graves Avenue.
Police said a woman apparently in her 40s was crossing Broadway Avenue mid-block when she was struck for an unknown reason by a vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim left lying unconscious in the westbound lanes of the road and suffering from major head and body trauma due to the crash.

She was immediately transported to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Her name and condition at this time were not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid to the woman fled the area. The suspect car was described as white colored and was last seen going west on Broadway.
