2 Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 111 Sunday
El Centro, CA (September 12, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of State Route Highway 111 and Interstate 8 Freeway.
Solo-Car Accident in El Centro, September 12
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle veered off the roadway while traveling on the transition road from SR-111 to I-8. Officials said the pickup truck rolled over and landed off the roadway.
Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 5 p.m. Responding paramedics found the driver of the pickup truck complaining of pain o their chest. Authorities added a passenger also sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
Two ambulances transported the two patients to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation. Pending confirmation, the names of the injured driver and passenger remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the wreck have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car accident in El Centro.
