Minor Injury Collision on I-8 Freeway
EL CENTRO, Calif. (June 23, 2023) — A two-vehicle El Centro crash on the eastbound Interstate 8 Freeway happened Friday morning under the Austin Road overpass.
The collision occurred around 5 a.m. on June 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Scion XB and a second vehicle. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, however, there were no specific details. Also, one of the vehicles was undrivable after the collision. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the freeway.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 8 Freeway. Witnesses may contact CHP officials to help them with the case.
