Motorcyclist Killed in El Centro Crash on Eastbound Interstate 8
EL CENTRO, CA (May 29, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash on the Interstate 8 in the city of El Centro.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in El Centro. The two crashed on the eastbound Interstate 8, west of Mountain Springs Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found the motorcyclist lying unconscious on the right shoulder.
Medical personnel confirmed that the rider died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased individual remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials forced all lanes of the eastbound Interstate 8 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal El Centro crash is still under investigation.
