EL CENTRO, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2019) — A 10-year-old girl was struck by a white truck Monday afternoon at 2370 West Main Street, according to the El Centro Police Department.

The collision took place about 2:30 p.m. near Sunflower Elementary School.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured child who was then airlifted by REACH Air Ambulance Services to a hospital. The extent of her injuries was not disclosed in the report, but they were not life threatening.

The crash remains under investigation by the El Centro police.
