Pedestrian Injured in El Dorado County Hit-and-Run on Coloma Road
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (May 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Coloma Road in El Dorado County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Sunday night. Officers reported the incident at about 8:44 p.m. near the area of Coloma.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in El Dorado County. The driver involved hit the person at 7291 Coloma Road, known as Highway 49.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the site. They found the victim left lying in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took to the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. They described the car as a white colored pickup truck.
Officers forced a portion of the Coloma Road to close following the hit-and-run collision. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The El Dorado County crash is still under investigation.
