Woman, 50, Injured in El Dorado County Hit-and-Run on Coloma Road
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (June 1, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian on Coloma Road in El Dorado County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday morning. Officers reported the accident on May 31 at shortly after 9 a.m.
A vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in El Dorado County. According to the dispatch, the driver involved hit her at 7291 Coloma Road.
Driver Hits Pedestrian on Highway 49, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the 50-year-old woman left wounded near a restaurant as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries she sustained in the crash. Her name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officials shut down a portion of the Coloma Road, known as Highway 49, following the collision. The El Dorado County hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
