The accident happened at around 2:15 a.m. in the 2600 block of the avenue.
Preliminary report stated that the two victims were attempting to stop another teenager friend who was getting into a car because they believed he was drunk.
In a turnout of events, the two teens were then struck by the allegedly drunk motorist who somehow managed to get inside the automobile, as mentioned in the article.
Although the involved vehicle was running at an extremely slow rate of speed, the two victims still sustained injuries and were treated at a county hospital.
The ABC News published that the teen driver was later detained at his home and he negated the citations that he was drunk during the smash.
All the identities of the minors in this case remained private with the authorities. And shall soon be announced to the public after due process.
The incident is continuously being investigated by the authorities as a child endangerment act.
