3 Injured in El Monte Crash at Valley Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue
EL MONTE, CA (November 4, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Valley Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue in El Monte.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department first logged the incident on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:20 p.m.
LaCoFD said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of El Monte. They crashed at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took all three patients to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. They evaluated six other parties at the site but they declined transport.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the El Monte crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Valley Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue to shut down following the wreck.
