Man, 88, Trips and Falls in Front of Moving Bus
POMONA, California (May 6, 2016) – An 88-year-old man was killed after being struck by a transit bus on Reservoir Street Friday morning, according to SGV Tribune.
The accident happened at around 10:00 a.m. just north of Phillips Boulevard.
Preliminary reports stated that the elderly was on the pedestrian side of the road when he suddenly tripped and fell in front of a moving bus.
The event led to the bus tires hitting the elderly, as mentioned in the article.
The force from the impact concluded with the elderly lying lifeless on the ground.
Authorities responded to the site and located the bus driver. The SGV Tribune published that driver did not appear to be intoxicated.
Investigation remained underway.
